Seul é uma das cidades mais conectadas do mundo e uma das que menos usa alfabeto latino na rua. As frases abaixo são as do metrô, do restaurante e do palácio, que é onde a conversa acontece.

Bukchon Hanok Village preserves hundreds of traditional Korean houses called hanoks, some over 600 years old, nestled between modern skyscrapers.
Gyeongbokgung Palace
Gyeongbokgung Palace was built in 1395 and its name means 'Palace Greatly Blessed by Heaven' - visitors can watch the Royal Guard Changing Ceremony daily.
Myeongdong
Myeongdong is one of Seoul's busiest shopping streets, famous for cosmetics shops and street food stalls selling everything from skewers to fish cakes.
Han River
The Han River cuts through the middle of Seoul, and locals love having picnics in riverside parks while watching the Banpo Bridge fountain show at night.

Palace Guards and K-Style

This palace has stood here since 1395!'Has stood here since' = 'esta de pe aqui desde' (present perfect).
The more traditional this place looks, the more modern the city around it feels.'The + comparativo..., the + comparativo...' descreve uma mudança proporcional.
I would rather try street food than eat at a fancy restaurant!'Would rather... than...' = 'preferiria... a...'.
Korean barbecue
You grill it yourself, right at the table.'Grill' como verbo = grelhar.
Free side dishes, refilled as often as you like.'Side dishes' = acompanhamentos.
Scissors, not a knife. It's completely normal.'Scissors' é sempre plural.
Refills are free. Just ask.re + fill = encher de novo.
Café study culture
People study here for hours. It's completely normal.'For hours' = por horas.
You pay by the hour and get a desk and silence.'By the hour' = por hora.
It's easier to focus when everyone around you is working.'Focus' = concentrar.

The Korean wave
